Where this sits

The Industrial Complex Reserve is one of five revenue centres within Nacala Next. Each is structured, financed and approved separately, and each is taken forward with its own operating partner. They share one gas supply, one coastal delivery chain and common port and power infrastructure.

The reserve is deliberately general. Rather than commit the node to one named industrial plant at concept stage, a share of the gas and power envelope is set aside and offered to tenants whose economics depend on firm power and gas at a deep-water port. In-country mineral processing and certification is the priority candidate use, promoted as an independent project rather than as part of this platform.

Status

Concept stage. Rights, gas allocation, land, terminal access, offtake, partners, approvals and financing all remain to be secured. No construction has begun and no final investment decision has been taken.
